Well if the launch of our site were any indication it would have appeared that things had only just begun for the Brothers, Rondini. However, things are not always as they seem.

For the uninitiated, The Amazing Rondini Brothers as you probably know them originally began as two people - but the story had years prior begun. Back around 2000, a few kids randomly and somewhat serendipitously stumbled upon each other and formed a swing outfit called the Seven City Kings. The group included the Rondinis' own Chad (Piano), Dave (Guitar, and at one point, drums), Adam (Trumpet) and myself (Trombone), along with a slew of different sax players, bassists & drummers. The group did plenty of jamming, learning, growing and eventually ended up playing a couple public shows before the guys went their separate ways to pursue "important" things like real jobs, college, etc.

A few years passed, and after we had some opportunities to experience life, mature and grow as musicians, the old group began to regain contact. Through several rehearsals, jam sessions, auditions and open mics, we began to mold something that we saw as something that was old, yet new; original, yet influenced. During this period, the group fluctuated from originally two members to, at one point, as many as 14.

Once we were able to pull together what we considered to be a group at least somewhat worthy of portraying our vision, we brought our creation to you, the masses - to audiences that were more welcoming than we had ever imagined. From there...well, you know the rest. We've played a lot of shows over the past couple years, met a lot of great people, and made - if I do say so myself - some kick ass tunes.

However, it is with the deepest regret that I inform you that the Amazing Rondini Brothers will be going on an indefinite hiatus while we pursue our own creative aspirations and identities.

We want to extend our most sincere gratitude to all of you who have supported us, attended our shows, bought our CD's, and/or in any way enjoyed the music we have worked so hard to create. As a musician, as a band, there is no greater honor than to know that there are people out there who get and love what you are doing. We appreciate each and every one of you, and once again thank you for all of your support.

Thank you for the opportunity to do what we love for your enjoyment.

The Amazing Rondini Brothers took to the stage at Beachland Ballroom on September 12, 2009 alongside Polka Floyd

Many appreciative fans showed their support by hollering and becoming increasingly more inebriated. The night was a fantastic mix of shit-stomping rock-n-roll, unbridled alcoholism and polka. With some ingenuity, the cds sold and the money collected was enough to propel the Amazing Rondini Brothers into yet another week of quasi-rockstardom.

You may be asking yourselves: "How can I help?" The truth is that you can't... at least not without a handsome monetary contribution to yours truly.
Here's an out of tune example of that drunken mayhem:
